Pick a scene. Show your child a picture or object; they compose a sentence about it.

Build word by word. Select tiles and lay them left to right, spaces between words.

Add punctuation. Full stops, commas, question marks and exclamations are tiles too; place them where the voice pauses.

Read it back. The child reads their own sentence aloud, then tweaks it.

Grow into paragraphs. Two or three sentences make a mini story; the tile bank supports it.
Start when spelling settles: once your child comfortably composes 3-4 letter words with the moveable alphabet.
Model short sentences first: The cat sat. Add a full stop as its own tile so the child sees the pause.
Use punctuation deliberately: commas, question marks and exclamations turn plain sentences into voice.
Read it back: the child reads their own sentence out loud; composition flows straight into reading fluency.
Return sorted: tiles back to the box; the tidy-up itself is spelling practice.
