Place the wooden shoe on a flat surface.

Tip the lace through the first eyelet from above.

Cross-lace through the eyelet diagonally opposite.

Continue the pattern eyelet by eyelet, up the shoe.

Tie a bow at the top once all eyelets are laced.

Unlace and try again for repeated practice.
Week 1: Just thread. Show your child how to push the lace through one eyelet.
Week 2: Up the column. Thread one side of eyelets, top to bottom.
Week 3: Cross-lace pattern. Standard shoe-lace pattern: lace crosses over.
Week 4: Tie a bow. Demonstrate slowly: two loops, cross, pull.
Week 5+: Real shoe transfer. Practise on the child's actual shoe with adult support.
