Trace the letter with two fingers (index and middle). Start with the top-line.

Say the letter sound aloud as you trace.

Start with swar (vowels). 3 vowels at a time: a, aa, i. Trace, name, repeat.
Add vyanjan (consonants). First 5 consonants: ka, kha, ga, gha, nga.
Show the stroke guide. Note: top-line (shirorekha) first, then body.
Demonstrate tracing. Index and middle fingers. Top-line, then body. Say the sound aloud.
Let your child trace. Same direction. Watch they get the top-line first.
Move to paper. Once tracing is comfortable, give a Hindi-ruled notebook.
